Why You Need Paula Panich as Your Writing Coach                   Print this Page

Writing, like any art or craft, is a mix of intuition grounded in knowledge of structure.  I can help you move forward. I can help you write about your experience and observations and reactions --- and teach you how to shape this material into a cohesive whole.

To ask a professional writer to make an assessment of a manuscript is one thing, but to enter into a coaching relationship is quite another. I bring to this relationship, years of experience with students of a range of ages in and out of the classroom, as well as my master of fine arts degree in creative writing. Most importantly, though, I bring the wisdom that comes with twenty years of writing practice and twenty years of publishing. What you will get from me is far more than red lines on a paper.

Why I Coach Writers

The world doesn't want you to be a writer. That's the starting point. The world wants you to consume: fossil fuels, french fries, faux furs, violent films, well-spun “facts” and unspeakable acts. The world doesn't want you to be an artist of any kind. The world wants you to be like everyone else. That's the starting point.
So what are you going to do about it?
